पुरस्कार के बारें में -
⇎ Every year since its inception in 1954, the Sahitya Akademi Award prizes to the most outstanding books of literary merit published in any of the major Indian languages recognised by the Akademi.
⇎ The award amount, which was Rs.5,000 since inception, had been enhanced to Rs.10,000 from 1983, Rs.25,000 from 1988, Rs.40,000 from 2001, Rs.50,000 from 2003 and is now Rs.1,00,000 from 2009.
⇎ The first Awards were given in 1955.
Some special things related to Sahitya Akademi Award-
⇎ Languages - India's National Academy of Letters, annually confers on writers of the most outstanding books of literary merit published in any of the 22 languages of the 8th Schedule to the Indian constitution as well as in English and Rajasthani language. (Total 24)
⇎ Prize - Established in 1954, the award comprises a plaque and a cash prize of ₹ 1,00,000

⇎ Poet Mukut Maniraj was born on 30 December 1955 in Dhanwa, Digod tehsil, Kota.
⇎ Holds a post-graduate degree and B.Ed in Hindi; retired headmaster from Rajasthan education department .
⇎ Founder and convener of Jan Sahitya Manch Sultanpur Kota.
⇎ Member of the Manuscript Publication Committee of Rajasthani Bhasha Sahitya Evam Sanskriti Academy, Bikaner. Former member of Rajasthani Bhasha Advisory Board, Sahitya Academy, New Delhi.
