The state government has approved the formation of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Bal Sahitya Akademi in the Department of Arts, Literature, Culture and Archeology in the budget announcement year 2019-2020.
Chief Secretary Shri Rajiv Swaroop said that the Chief Minister budgeted to set up the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Bal Sahitya Academy by the Department of Art, Literature, Culture and Archeology to encourage child literature related activities in the state and to support children's literature creators. It was announced in the year 2019-2020.
The life and ideals of the first Prime Minister of the country, the late Jawaharlal Nehru, will be disseminated through the Bal Sahitya Akademi to be constituted at the state level. The academy will work to bring children's literature to children.
