राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी जी के 150 वीं जयंती वर्ष एवं आजादी की 75 वीं वर्षगांठ के अवसर पर अमृत महोत्सव के तहत वृक्षारोपण को बढ़ावा देने के लिए बा बापू वृक्षारोपण अभियान चलाया जा रहा है।
इस योजना में नरेगा कन्वजेर्ंस की तहत 5 जुलाई से 11 सितंबर तक नर्सरी विकास, पोषण वाटिका और पौधारोपण का कार्य किया जाएगा।
योजना के तहत ग्रामीण विकास एवं पंचायती राज विभाग द्वारा 1 करोड़ पौधे लगाए जाएगें।
सभी पंचायतों में 500 पौधे प्रति पंचायत पौधारोपण करवाने साथ ही प्रधानमंत्री आवास योजना के लाभार्थियों को भी 5-5 पौधे लगाने हेतु प्रोत्साहित करने का काम इसमें किया जा रहा है।
विभाग द्वारा इस योजना के लिए 550 नर्सरियों का विकास किया गया है साथ ही 14249 पोषण वाटिकाएं भी विकसित की गयी है। अभियान में सड़क किनारे करीब 7 लाख पौधारोपण का लक्ष्य रखा गया है वहीं राजकीय कार्यालयों के परिसर में 19 लाख पौधे लगाने का लक्ष्य रखा गया है।

पुणे के 20 वर्षीय खिलाड़ी ने अपने पेशेवर वर्षों में कई उल्लेखनीय उपलब्धियां हासिल की हैं। उन्होंने 2014 में जमशेदपुर में अंडर-13 राष्ट्रीय शतरंज चैम्पियनशिप में रजत और उसी वर्ष तमिलनाडु में आयोजित SGFI नेशनल में स्वर्ण पदक जीता। उन्होंने 2015 में ग्रीस में विश्व युवा शतरंज चैम्पियनशिप के अंडर -14 वर्ग में भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व किया। अगले वर्ष, उन्हें पुणे में महाराष्ट्र शतरंज लीग में ‘सर्वश्रेष्ठ नवोदित खिलाड़ी’ से सम्मानित किया गया। राजा 2017 में एक अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मास्टर बने और 2019 में शिव छत्रपति पुरस्कार के मानद प्राप्तकर्ता थे।

केंद्र शासित प्रदेश लद्दाख में पर्यटन को बढ़वा देने के साथ ही स्थानीय लोगों को तक उच्चतर शिक्षा की पहुंच आसान करने के लिए केंद्र सरकार ने केंद्रीय विश्वविद्यालय स्थापित करने का निर्णय लिया है।
इसके लिए लोकसभा ने केंद्रीय विश्वविद्यालय (संशोधन) विधेयक, 2021को मंजूरी दे दी।
इस विधेयक में केंद्रशासित राज्य लद्दाख में एक केंद्रीय विश्वविद्यालय स्थापित करने का प्रावधान किया गया है। इस प्रस्तावित विश्वविद्यालय का नाम ‘सिंधु केंद्रीय विश्वविद्यालय’ रखने का इस विधेयक में उपबंध किया गया है।
लद्दाख में बनने वाले विश्वविद्यालय में 2,500 विद्यार्थियों के पढ़ने का प्रबंध रहेगा। विश्वविद्यालय के लिए अवसंरचना, दो चरणों में सात वर्षों के लिए 750 करोड़ रुपये के बजटीय उपबंध के साथ स्थापित की जाएगी।

देशवासियों की भावनाओं को देखते हुए खेल रत्न पुरस्कार को लेकर पीएम मोदी ने बड़ा फैसला लिया है।
खेल के क्षेत्र में दिया जाने वाला सबसे बड़ा अवॉर्ड राजीव गांधी खेल रत्न पुरस्कार का नाम बदलकर अब हॉकी के जादूगर मेजर ध्यानचंद के नाम पर कर दिया गया है।
अब इस अवॉर्ड को मेजर ध्यानचंद खेल रत्न पुरस्कार के नाम से जाना जाएगा। हर साल मेजर ध्यानचंद के जन्मदिन यानी 30 अगस्त को खेल से जुड़े अवॉर्ड्स दिए जाते हैं।
ध्यानचंद भारत के हॉकी के सबसे बेहतरीन खिलाड़ी थे जिन्होंने 1926 से 1948 तक 20 वर्षों के करियर में 1000 से अधिक गोल किए।
अवार्ड की शुरूआत वर्ष 1991-92 में की गई थी।
इस पुरस्कार में एक पदक, एक प्रमाण पत्र और ₹25 लाख (US$35,000) का नकद पुरस्कार शामिल है।
पुरस्कार के पहले प्राप्तकर्ता शतरंज ग्रैंडमास्टर विश्वनाथन आनंद थे, जिन्हें वर्ष 1991-92 में प्रदर्शन के लिए सम्मानित किया गया था।

On the occasion of 150th birth anniversary year of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and 75th anniversary of Independence, Ba Bapu tree plantation campaign is being run to promote tree plantation under Amrit Mahotsav.
Under this scheme, nursery development, nutrition garden and plantation work will be done from July 5 to September 11 under NREGA convergence.
Under the scheme, 1 crore saplings will be planted by the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department.
Apart from planting 500 saplings per panchayat in all the panchayats, the work of encouraging the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to plant 5-5 saplings is also being done in this.
For this scheme, 550 nurseries have been developed by the department and 14249 nutrition gardens have also been developed. In the campaign, a target of planting about 7 lakh saplings has been set on the roadside, while 19 lakh saplings have been set in the premises of government offices.

The Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award, the highest award given in the field of sports, has now been renamed after hockey magician Major Dhyan Chand.
Now this award will be known as Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award. Sports related awards are given every year on the birthday of Major Dhyanchand i.e. 30th August.
Dhyan Chand was India's best hockey player, scoring more than 1000 goals in a career spanning 20 years from 1926 to 1948.
The award was instituted in the year 1991-92.
The award consists of a medal, a certificate and a cash prize of ₹25 lakh (US$35,000).
The first recipient of the award was chess grandmaster Viswanathan Anand, who was awarded for his performance in the year 1991–92.
In 2001, shooter Abhinav Bindra, then 18 years old, became the youngest recipient of the award.
A total of 43 players have been awarded this award till 2020.

Manganese is used as an alloy in many industries including steel, glass, textile, fertilizer, animal feed, chemical industry, battery.
Potash reserves have been found in the country only in Rajasthan and the work of continuing exploration and feasibility study of potash in new areas in Nagaur Ganganagar basin is being done simultaneously.
Potash will be mined in this belt with the latest mining technology solution mining technology.
The main use of this mineral is in other industries including fertilizer, chemical and petro-chemical and glass.

The Starliner is designed to accommodate up to seven passengers, or a mix of crew and cargo, for missions in low Earth orbit.
