भारतीय-अमेरिकी स्कूली छात्रा नताशा पेरी (11) को 84 देशों के 19,000 छात्रों के उच्च ग्रेड-स्तर के परीक्षण के परिणामों के आधार पर दुनिया के ‘सबसे प्रतिभाशाली’ छात्रों की सूची में नामित किया गया है।
84 देशों के 19,000 स्टूडेंट्स में से नताशा पेरी ने शैक्षिक मूल्यांकन परीक्षा (एसएटी) और अमेरिकन कॉलेज परीक्षण (एसीटी) परीक्षा में असाधारण प्रदर्शन किया।
दोनों ही मानकीकृत टेस्ट हैं, जिनके जरिए कॉलेज ये निर्धारित करते हैं कि किसी छात्र को एडमिशन दिया जाना है या नहीं।
कुछ मामलों में, कंपनियां और NGO भी इन मार्क्स के जरिए स्कॉलरशिप प्रदान करते हैं।

संसद द्वारा इन्सॉल्वेंसी और बैंकरप्सी संहिता संशोधन विधेयक 2021 को पास कर दिया गया है।
कोविड के कारण सूक्ष्म, लघु एवं मध्यम उद्यम (एमएसएमई) क्षेत्र पर कुछ दिक्कतें आईं, जिससे इस संशोधन की जरूरत महसूस हुई।
इन्सॉल्वेंसी और बैंकरप्सी संहिता संशोधन अध्यादेश, 2021, इस साल चार अप्रैल 2021 से प्रभावी हो गया था। इसके तहत छोटे और मझोले इकाई के तहत आने वाले कर्जदार कारोबारियों को पहले से तैयार व्यवस्था (प्री पैकेज्ड) के तहत दिवाला निपटान प्रक्रिया की सुविधा मिल गई है।
इन्सॉल्वेंसी: यह एक ऐसी स्थिति होती है, जिसमें कोई व्यक्ति या कंपनी अपने बकाया ऋण चुकाने में असमर्थ होती है।
बैंकरप्सी: यह एक ऐसी स्थिति है जब किसी सक्षम न्यायालय द्वारा एक व्यक्ति या संस्था को दिवालिया घोषित कर दिया जाता है और न्यायालय द्वारा इसका समाधान करने तथा लेनदारों के अधिकारों की रक्षा करने के लिये उचित आदेश दिया गया हो। यह किसी कंपनी अथवा व्यक्ति द्वारा ऋणों का भुगतान करने में असमर्थता की कानूनी घोषणा है।
CIRP (Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process) एक अधिक समय लेने वाली प्रक्रिया है। दिसंबर 2020 के अंत में चल रही 1717 दिवाला समाधान कार्यवाहियों में से 86% से अधिक ने 270 दिन की समयावधि को पार कर लिया था। इस विधेयक के लागू होने के बाद हितधारकों को दिवाला कार्यवाही शुरू होने के 330 दिनों के भीतर CIRP को पूरा करना आवश्यक है। CIRPs में विलंब के प्रमुख कारणों में से एक पूर्ववर्ती प्रमोटरों और संभावित बोली लगाने वालों द्वारा लंबे समय तक मुकदमेबाजी करना है।

सर्वोच्च न्यायालय (SC) ने माना कि राज्यपाल की क्षमादान की शक्ति, ‘दंड प्रक्रिया संहिता’ (CrPC) की धारा 433A से अधिक है।
सर्वोच्च न्यायालय ने कहा कि राज्यपाल 14 वर्ष की जेल होने से पूर्व भी कैदियों को क्षमादान दे सकता है। इस प्रकार क्षमादान करने की राज्यपाल की शक्ति CrPC की धारा 433A के तहत किये गए प्रावधान को अतिव्यापन करती है, जिसमें कहा गया है कि कैदी को 14 वर्ष की जेल के बाद ही माफ किया जा सकता है
न्यायालय ने कहा कि अनुच्छेद 161 के तहत एक कैदी को क्षमा करने की राज्यपाल की संप्रभु शक्ति वास्तव में राज्य सरकार द्वारा प्रयोग की जाती है। सरकार की सलाह राज्य के उपराज्यपाल के लिये बाध्यकारी होती है।

सर्व शिक्षा अभियान (एसएसए), राष्ट्रीय माध्यमिक शिक्षा अभियान (आरएमएसए) और शिक्षक शिक्षा (टीई) की पूर्ववर्ती केंद्र प्रायोजित योजनाओं को मिलाकर 2018 में स्कूली शिक्षा के लिए एकीकृत योजना, समग्र शिक्षा शुरू की।

सीमा सड़क संगठन (बीआरओ) ने पूर्वी लद्दाख में उमलिंगला दर्रे के पास 19,300 फुट से अधिक की ऊंचाई पर मोटर वाहन चलने योग्य सड़क का निर्माण कर विश्व में एक नया कीर्तिमान स्थापित किया है। उमलिंगला दर्रे से होकर गुजरने वाली 52 किलोमीटर लंबी यह सड़क तारकोल से बनाई गई है और इसने बोलीविया की सबसे ऊंची सड़क के रिकॉर्ड को तोड़ दिया है। उल्लेखनीय है कि बोलीविया ने अपने देश में स्थित ज्वालामुखी उतूरुंकू को जोड़ने के लिए 18,935 फीट की ऊंचाई पर सड़क का निर्माण किया है।
चिशुमले और देमचोक के लेह से सीधे आवागमन का वैकल्पिक मार्ग का विकल्प उपलब्ध कराने के कारण इस सड़क का स्थानीय लोगों के लिए काफी महत्व है। इसकी मदद से सामाजिक और आर्थिक स्थिति में सुधार होगा और लद्दाख में पर्यटन को भी बढ़ावा मिलेगा।
जिस ऊंचाई पर इस सड़क का निर्माण किया गया है वह सियाचीन ग्लेशियर से काफी ऊंचा है। सियाचीन ग्लेशियर की ऊंचाई 17,700 फीट है। लेह में खर्दुंग ला पास भी इस सड़क के निर्माण स्थल से कम 17,582 फीट की ऊंचाई पर है।

'विक्रांत' की लगभग 28 समुद्री मील की शीर्ष गति और लगभग 7,500 समुद्री मील की एंड्योरेंस के साथ 18 समुद्री मील की परिभ्रमण गति है।

Among 19,000 students from 84 countries, Natasha Perry performed exceptionally well on the Educational Assessment Test (SAT) and the American College Test (ACT) test.
Both are standardized tests, through which colleges determine whether a student is to be admitted or not.

The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code Amendment Bill 2021 has been passed by the Parliament.
The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector faced some difficulties due to Kovid, which felt the need for this amendment.
The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code Amendment Ordinance, 2021, came into effect from April 4, 2021 this year. Under this, borrowers coming under small and medium units have got the facility of insolvency settlement process under pre-packaged arrangements.
Insolvency: It is a situation in which an individual or a company is unable to repay its outstanding debts.
Bankruptcy: It is a situation when a person or entity is declared insolvent by a competent court and an appropriate order has been made by the court to settle it and protect the rights of the creditors. It is a legal declaration of a company or individual's inability to pay off debts.
CIRP (Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process) is a more time consuming process. More than 86% of the 1717 insolvency resolution proceedings on-going at the end of December 2020 had crossed the 270-day time limit. Stakeholders are required to complete the CIRP within 330 days of the commencement of insolvency proceedings after the Bill comes into force. One of the major reasons for delays in CIRPs is prolonged litigation by erstwhile promoters and potential bidders.

The Supreme Court (SC) held that the pardoning power of the Governor is greater than that of Section 433A of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC).
The Supreme Court said that the Governor can grant pardon to prisoners even before they have been jailed for 14 years. Thus the power of the Governor to grant pardon overlaps the provision made under Section 433A of CrPC, which states that a prisoner can be pardoned only after serving 14 years of imprisonment.
The Court held that the sovereign power of the Governor to pardon a prisoner under Article 161 is actually exercised by the State Government. The advice of the government is binding on the Lieutenant Governor of the state.

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has given its approval for continuation of the revised Samagra Shiksha Yojana for a period of five years from 2021-22 to 2025-26.
Samagra Shiksha Yojana is an integrated scheme for school education, covering all aspects from pre-school to class XII. The scheme considers school education as a continuum and is in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals for Education (SDG-4).
Samagra Shiksha, an integrated scheme for school education, was launched in 2018 by merging the earlier centrally sponsored schemes of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) and Teacher Education (TE).

The Border Roads Organization (BRO) has set a new world record by building a motorable road at an altitude of more than 19,300 feet near the Umlingla Pass in Eastern Ladakh. This 52-km-long road passing through the Umlingala Pass has been made of coal tar and has broken the record for the highest road in Bolivia. It is noteworthy that Bolivia has built a road at an altitude of 18,935 feet to connect the volcano Uturunku located in its country.
This road is of great importance to the local people as it provides an alternative option of direct traffic from Leh to Chishumle and Demchok. With its help, the social and economic condition will improve and tourism will also get a boost in Ladakh.
The height at which this road has been built is much higher than the Siachen Glacier. The height of the Siachen Glacier is 17,700 feet. Khardung La pass in Leh is also at an altitude of 17,582 feet less than the construction site of this road.

The vessel 'Vikrant' is being built at Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), a public sector shipyard under the Ministry of Shipping and Waterways (MoS) at the Port. is a prime example.
The indigenous aircraft carrier is 262 meters long, 62 meters wide and 59 meters high, including the superstructure.
'Vikrant' has a cruising speed of 18 knots with a top speed of about 28 knots and an endurance of about 7,500 knots.
