नाटेकर ने 15 साल से अधिक के अपने करियर के दौरान 1954 में प्रतिष्ठित आल इंग्लैंड चैंपियनशिप के क्वार्टर फाइनल में जगह बनाई और 1956 में कुआलालंपुर में सेलांगर अंतरराष्ट्रीय टूर्नामेंट जीतकर अंतरराष्ट्रीय खिताब जीतने वाले पहले भारतीय खिलाड़ी बने।
उन्होंने 1951 से 1963 के बीच थामस कप में भारतीय टीम का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हुए अपने 16 में से 12 सिंगल्स और 16 में से आठ डबल्स मुकाबले जीते थे।
उन्होंने और मीना शाह ने 1962 में बैंकाक में किंग्स कप अंतरराष्ट्रीय मिक्स्ड डबल्स खिताब जीता।
उन्होंने एक साल बाद सिंगल्स खिताब भी अपने नाम किया। उन्होंने जमैका में 1965 राष्ट्रमंडल खेलों में भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व किया था। नाटेकर 1990 से 1994 तक महाराष्ट्र बैडमिंटन संघ के अध्यक्ष भी रहे।
नाटेकर को 1961 में पहले अर्जुन पुरस्कार से नवाजा गया।

यूनाइटेड स्टेट्स पैराशूट एसोसिएशन (USPA) लाइसेंस के साथ, परमार अब दुनिया में कहीं भी स्काइडाइव कर सकती है।

निरंतर अद्यतन के दौरान केवल वही मतदाता नाम जुड़वा सकते हैं जो कि अर्हता दिनांक 1 जनवरी को 18 वर्ष की आयु पूर्ण कर चुके हैं।
संक्षिप्त पुनरीक्षण कार्यक्रम के पश्चात् भी मतदाता सूची में नाम जुड़वाने अथवा संशोधन करवाने की प्रक्रिया पूरे वर्ष उपलब्ध रहती है।

आधिकारिक तौर पर 2013 में लॉन्च किया गया यह मानक लक्षित प्रजातियों के प्रभावी प्रबंधन के लिए न्यूनतम मानक निर्धारित करता है और प्रासंगिक संरक्षित क्षेत्रों में इन मानकों के मूल्यांकन को प्रोत्साहित करता है।
29 जुलाई को विश्व बाघ दिवस के अवसर पर पर्यावरण मंत्री ने ‘तेंदुओं, सह-परभक्षियों और शाकभक्षियों की स्थिति-2018’ शीर्षक रिपोर्ट भी जारी की।
वर्ष 2018 में भारत के बाघों के विचरण वाले इलाकों में तेंदुओं की कुल आबादी 12,852 (एसई रेंज 12,172 - 13,535) थी। यह 2014 की तुलना में एक उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि है, जोकि देश के बाघों वाले 18 राज्यों के वनाच्छादित प्राकृतिक वासों में 7,910 (एसई 6,566-9,181) थी।

101 स्क्वाड्रन रफाल लड़ाकू विमान से लैस होने वाली भारतीय वायु सेना की दूसरी स्क्वाड्रन है। इस स्क्वाड्रन का गठन 01 मई, 1949 को पालम में किया गया था और गुजरे वक्त में यह हार्वर्ड, स्पिटफायर, वैम्पायर, सु-7 और मिग-21एम विमानों का संचालन कर चुका है। इस स्क्वाड्रन के गौरवशाली इतिहास में 1965 और 1971 के भारत-पाकिस्तान युद्धों में सक्रिय भागीदारी शामिल है।
फ्रांस से आए राफेल विमानों की पहली स्क्वाड्रन (first squadron) हरियाणा के अंबाला एयरफोर्स स्टेशन (Ambala Airforce base) पर तैनात है।

Nandu Natekar, one of the early superstars of Indian badminton, passed away due to age-related ailments.
In his career he won more than 100 national and international titles.
During his career spanning more than 15 years, Natekar reached the quarter-finals of the prestigious All England Championship in 1954 and became the first Indian player to win an international title by winning the Selangor International tournament in Kuala Lumpur in 1956.
He represented the Indian team in the Thomas Cup between 1951 and 1963, winning 12 of his 16 singles and eight of his 16 doubles matches.
He and Meena Shah won the King's Cup international mixed doubles title in Bangkok in 1962.
He also won the singles title a year later. He represented India at the 1965 Commonwealth Games in Jamaica. Natekar was also the President of Maharashtra Badminton Association from 1990 to 1994.
Natekar was awarded the first Arjuna Award in 1961.

Only those voters who have completed 18 years of age as on the qualifying date 1st January can add their names during continuous updation.
Even after a brief revision program, the process of getting the name added or amended in the voter list remains available throughout the year.
