2004 में लिवरपूल को विश्व विरासत स्थल का खिताब दिए जाने के बाद, 21 जुलाई 2021 इसे यूनेस्को विश्व विरासत स्थल की सूची से हटा दिया गया है।

लिवरपूल ने अपने समुद्री इतिहास की मान्यता में 2004 में विश्व विरासत का दर्जा प्राप्त किया था। 18वीं और 19वीं शताब्दी में, यह दुनिया के प्रमुख व्यापारिक केंद्रों में से एक था।

इससे पहले, केवल दो स्थानों ने अपनी विरासत का दर्जा खो दिया है:

वर्ष 2007 में ओमान में अरेबियन ओरिक्स अभयारण्य (Arabian Oryx Sanctuary)

वर्ष 2009 में जर्मनी में ड्रेसडेन एल्बे घाटी (Dresden Elbe Valley)।

महिलाओं की 10 मीटर राइफल प्रतियोगिता में रूस की अनास्तासिया गैलाशिना ने रजत पदक और कांस्य पदक स्विट्जरलैंड की नीना क्रिस्टन ने जीता है।

भारत की टॉप निशानेबाज अपूर्वी चंदेला और इलावेनिल वलारिवन इस इवेंट के फाइनल में जगह बनाने में नाकामयाब रहीं।

पहली बार ओलंपिक में खेल रही दुनिया की नंबर एक निशानेबाज इलावेनिल 626.5 के स्कोर के साथ 16वें और चंदेला 621.9 अंक के साथ 50 निशानेबाजों में 36वें स्थान पर रहीं।

मीराबाई चानू ने शनिवार को भारत को टोक्यो ओलंपिक में पहला पदक दिलाया है।

मीराबाई ने 49 किग्रा वर्ग में दूसरा स्थान हासिल किया। इस स्पर्धा का स्वर्ण चीन की जीहोई होउ ने जीता है।

मीराबाई भरोत्तोलन में पदक जीतने वाली भारत की दूसरी महिला हैं। इससे पहले 2000 के सिडनी ओलंपिक में कर्णम मल्लेश्वरी ने कांस्य पदक जीता था।

मीराबाई ने 202 के कुल वजन के साथ दूसरा स्थान हासिल किया। स्नैच में मीराबाई ने दूसरे प्रयास में 89 और क्लीन तथा जर्क में दूसरे प्रयास में 115 किलो वजन उठाया।

2014 राष्ट्रमण्डल खेल में 48 किग्रा श्रेणी में रजत पदक जीता

2017 विश्व भारोत्तोलन चैम्पियनशिप, संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका में स्वर्ण पदक

2018 में उन्हें भारत सरकार ने पद्म श्री पुरस्कार व राजीव गाँधी खेल रत्न पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया।

नासा के अनुमानों के अनुसार ‘2008 GO20’ नाम का एक ‘नियर-अर्थ एस्टेरॉइड’,जो कि एक फुटबॉल मैदान से भी बड़ा है, 8.2 किलोमीटर प्रति सेकंड की गति से पृथ्वी के पास से गुज़रेगा और पृथ्वी से लगभग तीन से चार मिलियन किलोमीटर दूर होगा। ‘2008 GO20’ क्षुद्रग्रह इससे पूर्व 20 जून, 2008 को पृथ्वी के करीब से गुज़रा था और नासा के अनुमान के मुताबिक 25 जुलाई, 2034 को यह क्षुद्रग्रह पुनः पृथ्वी के करीब से गुज़रेगा।

नासा के अनुसार, ‘नियर-अर्थ एस्टेरॉइड’ जो कि 0.05 खगोलीय इकाइयों से नीचे या 7.5 मिलियन किलोमीटर की दूरी से गुज़रते हैं उन्हें संभावित रूप से खतरनाक क्षुद्रग्रह कहा जाता है।

एक खगोलीय इकाई लगभग 150 मिलियन किलोमीटर या लगभग पृथ्वी और सूर्य के बीच की दूरी के समान होती है।

भारतीय सेना का स्कीइंग अभियान, आर्मेक्स-21 का आयोजन देश एवं भारतीय सेना में साहसिक गतिविधियों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए हिमालयी क्षेत्र की पर्वत श्रृंखलाओं में आयोजित किया गया था।

यह अभियान 10 मार्च 2021 को लद्दाख के काराकोरम दर्रे से शुरू किया गया था और 06 जुलाई 2021 को उत्तराखंड के मलारी में समाप्त हुआ।

इस अभियान के तहत 119 दिनों में 1,660 किलोमीटर की दूरी तय की गई।

इस अभियान के दौरान दल ने 5,000-6,500 मीटर के कई दर्रों, ग्लेशियरों, घाटियों और नदियों के जरिए यात्रा की।

दल ने न केवल एक रोमांचक यात्रा पूरी की है बल्कि हिमालयी क्षेत्र की ऑपरेशनल रेकी भी की है।

कोरोना से जंग जीत चुके लोगों के लिए उनके शरीर में बन रही एंटीबॉडी (रोग प्रतिरोधक क्षमता) ही मुसीबत बनने लगी है। कोरोना से उबर रहे कुछ लोगों में अनियंत्रित रोग प्रतिरोधक क्षमता विकसित होने के कारण वे जीबी (गुलियन बेरी) सिंड्रोम का शिकार हो रहे हैं। इससे उनकी गर्दन के नीचे का हिस्सा लकवाग्रस्त हो जा रहा है।

गुलियन-बेरी सिंड्रोम एक दुर्लभ, लेकिन गंभीर ऑटोइम्यून (स्व-प्रतिरक्षित) विकार है, जिसमें प्रतिरक्षा प्रणाली तंत्रिका तंत्र में मौजूद स्वस्थ कोशिकाओं पर ही हमला करने लगती है। इस बीमारी में मुख्य रूप से चेहरे की नसें कमजोर हो जाती हैं।

भारत में वैक्सीन लेने के बाद इस बीमारी के सात मामले सामने आ चुके हैं। इन सातों लोगों ने कोविशील्ड वैक्सीन की पहली डोज लगवाई थी और उसके 10-22 दिन के बीच में इनमें गुलियन-बेरी सिंड्रोम के लक्षण देखने को मिले।

गुलियन-बेरी सिंड्रोम के लक्षण -

शरीर में कमजोरी होना

चेहरे की मांसपेशियां कमजोर होना

हाथ-पैरों में झुनझुनाहट महसूस होना

Mirabai Chanu on Saturday gave India its first medal at the Tokyo Olympics.

Mirabai is the second woman from India to win a medal in weightlifting. Karnam Malleswari had earlier won a bronze medal in the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Mirabai secured the second position with a total weight of 202. In snatch, Mirabai lifted 89 kg in second attempt and 115 kg in second attempt in clean and jerk.
