केंद्रीय शिक्षा मंत्री ने हाल ही में उच्च शिक्षा पर अखिल भारतीय सर्वेक्षण (एआईएसएचई) 2019-20 की रिपोर्ट जारी करने को मंजूरी दी।

यह रिपोर्ट देश में उच्च शिक्षा की वर्तमान स्थिति पर प्रमुख प्रदर्शन संकेतक प्रदान करती है।

उच्च शिक्षा विभाग की प्रत्येक साल जारी अखिल भारतीय उच्च शिक्षा सर्वेक्षण (एआईएसएचई) की श्रृंखला में यह 10वीं रिपोर्ट है।

उच्च शिक्षा पर अखिल भारतीय सर्वे रिपोर्ट 2019-20 की प्रमुख विशेषताएं 

1. उच्च शिक्षा में कुल नामांकन 2019-20 में 3.85 करोड़ रहा है। 2018-19 में यह 3.74 करोड़ था। इसमें 11.36 लाख (3.04 प्रतिशत) की बढ़ोतरी दर्ज की गई। 2014-15 में कुल नामांकन 3.42 करोड़ रहा था।

2. सकल नामांकन दर (जीईआर), 2019-20 मेंउच्च शिक्षा में नामांकित पात्र आयु वर्गों के छात्रों का प्रतिशत 27.1 प्रतिशत था। 2018-19 में यह 26.3 प्रतिशत और 2014-15 में 24.3 प्रतिशत था।

3. उच्च शिक्षा में लैंगिक समानता सूचकांक (जीपीआई) 2018-19 में 1.00 के मुकाबले 2019-20 में 1.01 रहा। यह पात्र आयु समूह में पुरुषों के मुकाबले महिलाओं के लिए उच्च शिक्षा में सापेक्ष पहुंच में सुधार के संकेत हैं। 

4. 2019-20 में उच्च शिक्षा में छात्र शिक्षक अनुपात 26 है। 

5. 2019-20 में: विश्वविद्यालय: 1,043(2 प्रतिशत); कॉलेज: 42,343 (77 प्रतिशत) और स्वचालित संस्थान: 11,779 (21 प्रतिशत)।

6.3.38 करोड़ छात्रों ने स्नातक और स्नातकोत्तर स्तर के कार्यक्रमों में नामांकन लिया। इनमें से लगभग 85 प्रतिशत छात्र (2.85 करोड़) मानविकी, विज्ञान, वाणिज्य, इंजीनियरिंग व प्रौद्योगिकी, चिकित्सा विज्ञान और आईटी व कंप्यूटर जैसे छह प्रमुख विषयों में नामांकित थे। 

7. 2019-20 में पीएचडी करने वाले छात्रों की संख्या 2.03 लाख है।2014-15 में यह आंकड़ा 1.17 लाख था। 

8.शिक्षकों की कुल संख्या 15,03,156है, जिसमें 57.5प्रतिशत पुरुष और 42.5 प्रतिशत महिलाएं शामिल हैं।

The Union Education Minister recently approved the release of the All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) 2019-20 report.

This report provides key performance indicators on the current state of higher education in the country.

This is the 10th report in the series of All India Survey of Higher Education (AISHE) released every year by the Higher Education Department.

Salient Features of All India Survey Report 2019-20 on Higher Education

1. The total enrollment in higher education has been 3.85 crore in 2019-20. It was 3.74 crore in 2018-19. An increase of 11.36 lakh (3.04 per cent) was registered in this. The total enrollment in 2014-15 was 3.42 crore.

2. The Gross Enrollment Rate (GER), the percentage of students of eligible age groups enrolled in higher education in 2019-20, was 27.1 percent. It was 26.3 per cent in 2018-19 and 24.3 per cent in 2014-15.

3. The Gender Equality Index (GPI) in Higher Education stood at 1.01 in 2019-20 as against 1.00 in 2018-19. These are signs of improving relative access to higher education for women compared to men in the eligible age group.

4. The student teacher ratio in higher education in 2019-20 is 26.

5. In 2019-20: Universities: 1,043 (2 percent); Colleges: 42,343 (77 percent) and Automated Institutions: 11,779 (21 percent).

6.3.38 crore students enrolled in undergraduate and postgraduate level programmes. About 85 percent of these students (2.85 crore) were enrolled in six core subjects namely Humanities, Science, Commerce, Engineering & Technology, Medical Science and IT & Computers.

The number of PhD students in 2019-20 is 2.03 lakh. In 2014-15, this figure was 1.17 lakh.

8. The total number of teachers is 15,03,156, of which 57.5 percent are males and 42.5 percent are females.
